Creamy Dulce de Leche Fudge: A Decadent Sweet Treat

Ingredients:

  • 14 oz (1 can) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dulce de leche (store-bought or homemade)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: sea salt flakes for sprinkling on top

Instructions:

1. Prepare the pan:

  • Line an 8x8-inch square pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal later.

2. Melt the ingredients:

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk and butter. Stir continuously until the butter melts.
  • Add the white chocolate chips and stir until they are fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, mixing well.

3. Add the dulce de leche:

  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and quickly fold in the dulce de leche. You can either swirl it through for a marbled effect or fully mix it in for a uniform flavor.

4. Pour into the pan:

  • Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • If desired, sprinkle some sea salt flakes on top for a sweet and salty contrast.

5. Chill:

  • Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2-3 hours or until fully set.

6. Cut and serve:

  • Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut it into squares and enjoy the rich, creamy sweetness!

Enjoy your creamy and indulgent Dulce de Leche Fudge!
