Ingredients:
- 14 oz (1 can) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup dulce de leche (store-bought or homemade)
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: sea salt flakes for sprinkling on top
Instructions:
1. Prepare the pan:
- Line an 8x8-inch square pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal later.
2. Melt the ingredients:
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk and butter. Stir continuously until the butter melts.
- Add the white chocolate chips and stir until they are fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, mixing well.
3. Add the dulce de leche:
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and quickly fold in the dulce de leche. You can either swirl it through for a marbled effect or fully mix it in for a uniform flavor.
4. Pour into the pan:
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- If desired, sprinkle some sea salt flakes on top for a sweet and salty contrast.
5. Chill:
- Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2-3 hours or until fully set.
6. Cut and serve:
- Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut it into squares and enjoy the rich, creamy sweetness!
